‘We know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians.’
- Nelson Mandela
Edinburgh Action for Palestine was founded in October 2015 and is a branch of the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign
We work locally to raise awareness of and campaign against the injustices suffered by Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli government and to support the Palestinian civil society call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions.
We seek to collaborate and coordinate with other groups, driving towards a unified response to the continued attack against the Palestinian people.
We hold stalls on Princes Street (to the East of Castle Street) from 11am till 12.30/1 pm, on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month. Anyone interested in finding out more or otherwise getting involved is very welcome to come along or to email us at EdinburghAction4Palestine@gmail.com
We campaign to highlight the realities of Palestinian life under occupation. Through stalls, events, and digital platforms, we share stories and amplify Palestinian voices, ensuring their struggle for freedom and dignity is heard worldwide.
Our work calls for accountability and equality under international law. We support campaigns for justice, challenging oppression, and standing in solidarity with Palestinians demanding their fundamental human rights and freedom from occupation.
Change starts locally. We build partnerships and create momentum for collective action. Together, we strengthen grassroots solidarity and show that Edinburgh stands firmly with the Palestinian people.
Education is key to justice. We provide resources and encourage discussions to deepen understanding of Palestinian history and culture. By learning, we empower ourselves and others to take meaningful action.

Britain pledges support for a Jewish homeland in Palestine — handing power to European-led Zionist groups. This rapidly leads to increasing violence against the local population. At no stage are the Palestinians consulted.
Over 750,000 Palestinians are forcibly expelled as Zionist militias destroy over 400 villages and kill 15,000 civilians to make room for the state of Israel - which Zionist groups claim the right to do on theocratic grounds.
Israel seizes the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem, placing millions under military rule and cementing a system of ruthless apartheid. Movement for Palestinians is restricted and a policy of harrassment and violence becomes the norm.
A mass uprising is met with brutal force: over one thousand Palestinians are killed, tens of thousands are wounded and countless incidents of, abuse, torture and sexual violence are reported by detainees.
Framed as an attempt at peace, the accords fragmented the West Bank and entrenched Israeli control. Settlements expand. Oppression and harrassment intensifies. Families are forcably evicted from their homes with the apparent approval of the Israeli state.
Israel seales Gaza’s borders, trapping over two million people. With movement, goods, and medicine tightly controlled, Gaza becomes the world’s largest concentration camp. Despite protests around the world, no action is taken.
Tens of thousands are killed in Gaza with over 80% civilian casualties... of which 70% are women and children. Israel deliberately creates a state of extreme famine restricting supplies of everything from baby formula to essential medicines.
As Gaza lies in ruins, her population starving, world leaders issue hollow statements but continue arming Israel, providing intelligence and arresting those who protest against the injustice. After two years of consideration, the U.N. finally agrees that Israel's actions constitute genocide. The killing continues.
